The Hill Country Revue just finished our record and are gearing up for a month long tour. This must be the fastest a record has ever been made, especially considering the band was just formed. We mixed, mastered, and manufactured in one weekend. I had a lot of help and support from my friends, not to mention an amazing group of musicians who made it easy and fun to record. There is something exciting about fresh, new music that has just been made. It's hot and ready to be served! Hopefully the great energy and excitement that went into the making of the record will translate.
I haven't figured out how to imbed a mp3 player into my blog, so I just have to link you to the myspace page for now. Any suggestions on how to post music on blogger will be much appreciated.
Please listen to our new songs and befriend us on myspace. We are doing all we can to spread the word. Enjoy!

When a Plan Comes Together
The Hill Country Revue reconvened in full force at Zebra Ranch studio and cranked out 12 songs for our first record. Needless to say I'm very relieved and excited to hear how good this band is. I love it when a plan comes together. Aaron Julison from Kid Rock co-produced the record with me. After our work was done in MS we drove up to Knoxville for his show last weekend. All I can say is WOW! The Kid Rock Revival is amazing- three solid hours of relentless entertainment. They switch from Rev Run to Dickey Betts effortlessly. I had the best seat in the house. After the show I was up on KR's bus listening to Rev Charlie Jackson and dancing with local hotties. It doesn't get much more fun than that..The next day I met up with Luther in Nashville and hopped on the bus with The Black Crowes. Off I went to a second big rock show in as many days. Luther sounds excellent with BC. I agree that when they signed Luther it was the best deal since the Louisiana Purchase. Good move on their part! Both the Black Crowes and Kid Rock/Twisted Brown Trucker Band were so cool and hospitable to me all weekend. I got nothing but love for them.
So here is some footage of things starting to happen for the HCR. It's coming together folks..
